When Captain Cook Sailed to Australia he brought on board 66 Barrels of Sauerkraut which contributed to his crew conquering scurvy once and for all!

66 Barrels started in 2015 as a product of passion. Founder Ben Williams started his fermenting journey in 2012 with a huge drive for creating healthy and delicious foods. After some time the pantry became too small and Ben faced a fork in the road.
With experience working in food manufacturing and an avid curiosity in fermentation process', Ben quickly developed systems to ensure that no corners were cut while creating a delicious product.
Our commitment to quality today stands strong and we are always seeking new ways to further improve process and product.
